Mini donuts are bite-sized donuts, coated and decorated by hand one at a time. As a gift they work for two reasons: they are shared without knives or plates, and each one can be decorated differently, with colours, shapes or a letter. This guide covers the presentations we make, which one fits what, and how to look after them.

Why mini and not one big donut

A big donut is a snack; a box of mini donuts is a gift. Being small, several fit in one box, they get shared among whoever is there, and each one can carry a letter to spell a name or a message. That is why they fit December so well, for aguinaldos and gatherings.

The presentations we make

  • Mini box of 3 mini donuts: for simple gestures, quick surprises or an aguinaldo handed over in person.
  • Christmas tree of 8 mini donuts: the tree-shaped box in the main photo. Good for aguinaldos, last-minute gifts or something for friends.
  • Premium box of 4 mini donuts with mini wine: for celebrations, a more elegant gift or the office Secret Santa.
  • Deluxe tree of 24 mini donuts: stacked as a tower, to share with family, at Christmas gatherings or at work.

Those are the Christmas presentations. The rest of the year mini donuts also come as a bouquet, wrapped like flowers, which we cover in custom bakery in Medellín. For dates like Halloween we make themed editions in a box.

How many to order

A practical rule: for a gift to one person, 3 to 4. For a couple or a friend who will share them at home, the tree of 8. For a gathering, a novena or an office, count one or two per person and pick the tree of 24 or several small boxes. If the gift will be handed out one by one, many small boxes beat one big one.

What can be personalized

  • The letters. A name, a date or a short message, one letter per donut.
  • The colours of the coating, the decoration and the ribbon.
  • The card, handwritten.
  • The packaging, depending on whether it is handed over, set on a table or shared out.

How long they last and how to keep them

They are fresh and made the same day or the day before delivery, so they are not for keeping. They are best that day or the next, somewhere cool and away from a sunny window. The fridge does not help: the cold makes the chocolate damp and takes away its shine.

For aguinaldos and companies

In December bulk orders overlap with corporate Christmas hampers and the Novena de Aguinaldos, so it is worth writing early. Tell us how many boxes you need, the date, and whether they carry names or one message for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

How long do mini donuts last?

They are fresh, made the same day or the day before. They are best on the delivery day or the next, somewhere cool and out of the sun. Don't refrigerate them: the cold makes the chocolate coating damp and dull.

Can you write a name or a message on them?

Yes. The letters are made in chocolate, one per donut, like the Feliz Navidad on the tree in the photo. Send us the text exactly as you want it to read.

Which presentation works as a Christmas aguinaldo?

To hand out to several people, the mini box of 3 or the tree of 8, because each one is complete and is handed over in person. For a gathering or an office, the tree of 24 goes on the table and serves everyone.
