The buchón bouquet is that round, full, tightly packed bouquet you see in every birthday and anniversary photo. What sets it apart is not the amount of paper, it is that the roses sit together in a dome. We make it with eternal roses in satin ribbon, so besides looking full, it lasts for years.

Why eternal roses instead of fresh ones

A buchón of fresh roses is beautiful for three or four days. Then it goes in the bin. Ours are built by hand, petal by petal: we cut the ribbon, seal the edge with heat and layer 12 to 15 petals per flower. They need no water, do not wilt and are not bothered by the humidity of a Medellín home. If you want to know how to care for them, we explain it in this guide.

How to pick the colour

Because the rose is made from ribbon, the colour is whatever you want, not whatever the florist has that day. The photo above shows seven different bouquets, each one made for a person:

  • Red: the classic love bouquet. With butterflies on top it feels younger.
  • Purple and lilac: with a gold crown in the middle, for the queen of the house.
  • Royal blue and light blue: works very well for men and for anyone who does not want pink.
  • Brown and cream: understated and elegant, for a more classic taste.
  • Orange or yellow: cheerful, for birthdays and friendship.

If you are unsure, look at what each colour means, or simply choose the recipient's favourite colour. It almost never fails.

What you can add

The buchón is a base. What makes it personal is what goes on top or beside it:

  • A detail in the centre: a crown, butterflies, a small plush toy or a toy. One of the blue bouquets in the photo has a collectible car in the middle.
  • A band or card with their name or a date that matters.
  • Something sweet: a box of donuts, bonbons or chocolate-covered strawberries in the same colours as the bouquet.

The purple bouquet with a matching donut box is an example: the same colour throughout, a friendship day card and ready to deliver. The baked treats get eaten that day; the roses stay.

The size

Price and size depend on how many roses it has. There is no required number: a small buchón for a desk says as much as a big one, if the colour and the detail are right. Tell us your budget and we suggest the size that looks best for it.

Frequently asked questions

What is a buchón bouquet?

It is a round, tight bouquet, with the roses packed together into a dome and wrapped in several layers of paper. It looks fuller than a traditional long-stem bouquet, which is why it shows up in so many photos.

Are the roses real?

No. Ours are eternal roses made by hand in satin ribbon, petal by petal. They do not wilt, need no water and last for years with just a little dusting.

How much does an eternal rose buchón bouquet cost?

A single eternal rose starts at $20,000 COP and the bouquet goes up with the number of roses and what you add. Message us on WhatsApp with the colour and the idea and we confirm the exact amount before you pay.
