Chocolate-dipped strawberries are the gift that fails least often. They don't depend on sizes, colours or knowing the person well, and they work just as well for a partner as for an office birthday. The only thing to understand before ordering is that they are fresh fruit under a coating, and that governs the date and the hour.

The three formats and what each is for

  • Bouquet: the strawberries go on sticks, wrapped like flowers. It has the most visual impact and works best as the main gift, especially for a partner. It gets handed over and looks enormous in a photo.
  • Box: more contained and easier to carry. This is what we recommend for the office, because it opens on the desk, gets shared, and nobody has to carry a bouquet around for the rest of the day.
  • Skewer: strawberries alternated on sticks, sometimes with marshmallow or grape. This is the option for groups and the one that goes furthest per person at a celebration.

White chocolate, dark, or both

Dark contrasts more against the red of the fruit and handles heat better. White looks softer and takes coloured decoration on top, but it marks from handling sooner. The combination of both is what we make most often, not for flavour but because the tray simply looks better with contrast. If the recipient has a clear preference, tell us when ordering.

How long they last and how to keep them

Here is the part almost nobody asks about and then regrets. Dipped strawberries are for the same day, ideally within the first few hours. In the fridge they hold until the next day, but the chocolate sweats: a film of moisture forms and the shine goes. If they will be stored, use the least cold shelf and don't seal them airtight.

What ruins them, in order: direct sun, a closed car, and an over-cold fridge. That is why we deliver as close as possible to the hour you give us, and why we avoid leaving them at a front desk when we can.

What they cost

Our bakery starts from $20,000 COP, and the final price depends on the number of strawberries and the format: a small box and a large bouquet are nowhere near the same cost. Delivery is quoted separately, from $15,000 COP depending on the neighbourhood. Message us with the budget you have and we'll build the option that fits, rather than sending a price list that doesn't apply to your case.

When to order

For an ordinary day, same-day is usually fine. For Valentine's, Amor y Amistad or Mother's Day, order three or four days ahead: those are the dates when the fruit runs out and production fills up. We make artisan bakery in Medellín and also deliver in Envigado, Sabaneta, Itagüí, Bello and La Estrella.
