Almost everything we make is ordered by one person for another person. This is different: the venue orders it, and the guest has no idea it exists until they open the door of the room and it is already there.
We prepare the welcome gifts that greet guests at Finca Conejo Blanco, a whole-house rental in the vereda El Paraíso, ten minutes from the Piedra del Peñol, in Guatapé. They order the batches, we build them, and the guest walks into a room that already has something waiting.
Why a venue orders this
A hotel or a finca competes against others with the same pool and the same jacuzzi. What is not easy to copy is what happens in the first five minutes, when people walk in and look around. That is where a small gift fits.
The idea is not ours: Conejo Blanco already sells guests services that are not the house itself, such as the local chef who cooks a menu with regional ingredients. A welcome gift is the same kind of extra, except it is settled before the guest arrives and they never have to ask for it.
What can go in it
It depends on who the venue receives. A house that fills up with couples does not need the same thing as one that fills up with families.
- A small box of artisan bakery: eaten the same day and it takes up no luggage.
- Eternal roses: they stay in the room from one guest to the next, so it is not a cost per booking.
- A resin piece with the name of the house: the guest takes it home, and they will remember where it came from.
- Hampers or gift boxes: for when the venue wants something bigger for a specific date, an anniversary or a proposal.
- Favors with the house logo: the cheapest per unit and the one that works best in quantity.
What to decide before the first batch
- Who it is for. Every guest, or only the ones arriving to celebrate something. The second costs far less and gets noticed more.
- How many and how often. This is not built per booking, it is built in batches. You need to know how many rooms there are and how many nights sell per month.
- How far ahead. Between 10 and 15 days depending on quantity, because all of it is handmade. A house with clear seasons orders by season and forgets about it.
- Whose name is on it. The venue's, on the card or on the ribbon. A gift with no name is pretty; one with the name of the house belongs to the venue.
How it gets there
We deliver in Medellín, Envigado, Sabaneta, Itagüí and Bello, every day and at any hour. A venue outside the Aburrá Valley, like the finca in Guatapé, works differently: the whole batch is delivered to the house by arrangement, not guest by guest. New orders are taken Tuesday to Sunday.
Frequently asked questions
What is a welcome gift?
A small gift the guest finds already placed in the room on arrival, not something they have to order. The venue pays for it, not the guest, which is why it is made in batches rather than one at a time.
How far ahead do they need to be ordered?
Between 10 and 15 days, depending on the quantity. These are handmade pieces, so a batch of twenty does not come out in two days. If the venue has fixed seasons, the easiest thing is to order by season rather than by booking.
Can they carry the name of the venue?
Yes. The name, the logo or a welcome note signed by the house goes printed on the card or on the ribbon. That is the part that turns a generic gift into something you can only get by staying there.
Do you deliver outside the Aburrá Valley?
Our normal deliveries are Medellín, Envigado, Sabaneta, Itagüí and Bello. Beyond that we arrange it directly with the venue, which is how it works with the finca in Guatapé: delivered in batches, not per guest.
